13,000 Teachers To Start Work By September Commissioner …As Eleme Model Secondary Commissioned

 

The Rivers State government said the 13,000 teachers recruited for employment will start work by September this year

The Commissioner for Education, Dame Alice Lawrence Nemi made the clarification at the commissioning of the Amb. Nne Kuruburibo Model Secondary School, Eleme.

Dame Nemi advised students and teachers to take adequate care of the educational facilities at the school to their advantage and guard it jealously to allow future generation to benefit from the project.

The Education Commissioner said government has adequate plans to complete and deliver six of those modern schools to the people of the state before December this year.

She stated that the state government is doing everything possible to improve on the quality of education in the state and called for total support in the education sector.

The education boss maintained that the standard of the secondary school will enable people of Rivers State to compete with others in any part of the world, while tasking both the students and the teachers to protect the equipment for others to benefit.

EDUCOMP Globa, the managing partner of the school, Mr. Shan Tanu Brakash the Chief Executive Officer who specializes in educational teaching aids said they have received a lot of cooporation from the community and the students too.

Mr. Hegdekatte stated in an interview with journalists that the students are very happy because of the quality of education at the school with the quality of teachers.

He said with the quality of education at the Amb. Nne Kunukurubo secondary school, Nigeria is thinking to give quality of education to it citizens.

On the issue of welfare package for the teachers, he said the payment standard is encouraging because their company believes in payment for workers as a motivating factor.

He maintained that the workers have been given adequate training in the ITC as a boost to their knowledge. Also, speaking the Principal of the College, Mr. Cliffaram Jam Devulka maintained that the school is in good hands and promised to deliver accordingly.

On how the children of the rural areas are coping up with the teaching aids whether there are enough space and time for the children.

In her speech the ICT trainer, Mrs. Ketaki Dawan stated that she has trained all the teachers in the school to a reasonable stage. When asked why she will not step down the training for others, she said for now she will continue to train them because of all the processes involved.

The Commissioner for Education has earlier launched free laptop for the students of the school. ###
