Regenesys Business School, Opens In Port Harcourt

The Chief Operating Officer of Regenesys Business School of South Africa, Riaan Steenberg said the school will open soon in Port Harcourt.

Mr. Steenberg said this during a presentation of the school’s profile in Port Harcourt.

The Chief Operating Officer however, stated that the Regenesys Business School, will collaborate with the Port Harcourt School of Management and Economics to provide opportunities for millions of young men and women who desire credible, quality education comparable to any university in the world.

According to him, the choice of Port Harcourt in South-South of Nigeria is very strategic in the educational advancement of the region.

He said the Regenesys has 15 years outstanding experience in delivering quality service.

He said the mission of the Port Harcourt school of management and Economics is to partner in Executive and leadership education to support career success in government and private sector positions.

The mission of the school he said is to prepare individuals for the challenges of corporate positions and responsibility in the globalized world.

The school has core values such as integrity, quality and passion. In his presentation, a board member of the Port Harcourt School of Management and Economics, Mr. Adeleke Olufade told the audience that in 2011 the school was registered with the corporate Affairs Commission to bring quality education to Nigerians.

He said the purpose is to change the concept of the people, as they want to train managers in managerial culture.

Mr. Olufade stated that the school will use direct and indirect teaching methodology to train intending students.

The board member maintained that by 2020 the school will be one of the leading management schools in the world.

He said there are other skills/programmes that are fully accredited by the institution that will help Nigerians and Rivers people to grow in entrepreneurship skills, which will guarantee them employment.

Some of the programmes of the school include: Capacity Building Programmes in Oil and Gas, Management skills, Certification in specialized areas, Riggers, Operators, Health and Safety Environment.

Others are consultancy and corporate redesign and competitiveness, political and social research, MBA with 24 months and PGD with 12 months.

He said is expected that the programme of the school will begin in September 2013

The governing board has the following members  Prof. Don Baridam Former Vice Chancellor of University of Port Harcourt, Mr. Kpagih Baritor Lenusikpugi a retired Customs Senior Officer, Barr. Kemasuode Wodu, among others.###
