Jonathan Will Win In 2015 – S/South People

SOUTH-SOUTHThe South-South Chiefs, Elders, Sisters and Youths Network Association has assured the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) of victory during the upcoming general election, and also called on President Goodluck Jonathan to recontest for second term in 2015.

The group made this known to newsmen during their inaugural meeting held last week in Port Harcourt.

The National Coordinator of the group, High-Chief Omubo Harry, said the Forum’s aim is to support and encourage the good governance of the President which is focused and anchored on integrity and the fear of God. The group he said also advocates improving the living standards of the masses of the South-South people and Nigeria as a whole. And to stand against inordinate ambition that can be a liability to the South- South people and Nigeria as a Nation.

High-Chief Omubo Harry made it clear that no amount of harassment and conspiracy will stop the group from galvanizing support for Jonathan.

He described APC as “an expired drug that has no value saying, “it is some self centered persons that want to rub Paul to pay Peter which is not possible because God has ordained Goodluck Ebele Jonathan for 2015”.

In the same vein, High Chief Omubo Harry said he is glad that Mrs. Daba Manuel Obioha has finally accepted to vie for the Senatorial Seat after series of persuasions.

In her response, Mrs. Daba Manuel Obioha, said “my ambition to go to the Senate is borne out of desire to help people in general and those of the Rivers West Senatorial zone in particular. The Niger Delta is blessed with abundance of natural resources but sadly, the people are impoverished in the midst of plenty.”

According to her, through her the voices of women, children, youths and other members of the society shall be heard. With an unblemished public service and relationship with civil society, she has vowed to crusade and fight for transparency and prudence in the management of resources as well as campaign for equity, justice and fair play in all sphere of activities.

“Mine would be a selfless service built on God and driven by a desire to make the Rivers-West Senatorial District far better than I met it, with laws that would help in improving the living standard of the people while also making the area haven for social and economic activities,” she said.

However, Mrs. Jane Eze Agu was appointed as the Women Leader, Ruth Uma as Youth women leader, Barr. Obans Muyidien as Organizing Secretary, Mondi Adanor as Secretary to pilot the affairs of the Association in Abuja branch.

In their seperate responses, they promised one hundred percent votes for the return of those with determination to transform the fortunes of the country.

Dignitaries at the occasion include Deaconess Mrs. Owi Maria Inibiye, former INEC Commissioner in Bayelsa State, Mr. Believe Prince Tamunokuro represented Ateke Tom, Gogo Wilson, and so many others. ###
