Business and social activities were completely paralyzed in Buguma community, the headquarters of the Asari-Toru Local Government Area of Rivers State as unknown gunmen invaded the ancient town on Monday.
Information reaching our newsroom had it that, the unknown gunmen during the invasion the jubilating supporters of Chief Barr. Ezebunwo Nyesom Wike, the flagbearer of the Rivers chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) were attacked. The gunmen inflicted injuries on them. The gunmen also shot sporadically, to chase people away from the popular King Amachree road.
However, sources hinted out crime reporter that during the ugly incident several persons were wounded. As at the time of filing in this report normalcy has returned to the community. ###
