Eckankar Nigeria Holds Regional Seminar

Eckankar, Religion of Light and Sound of God held a regional seminar from December 12 to 14th, 2014 at the Temple Eck, Rumuigbo, Port Harcourt, Rivers State.

The theme of the seminar was “How To Survive Spiritually In Our Times” and the guest speaker was Mike DeLuca.

The seminar which featured workshops, roundtables, songs, drama, poetry and dances was graced by thousand of attendees from all walks of life including foreigners.

A member of Eckankar who welcomed the press round the various departments ranging from Children Section at the Fellowship Hall to the Guest Welcome Center revealed that Eckankar welcomes people from all walks of life and from different religious background and there was no restriction whatsoever.

In the Guest Welcome Center meant for the newcomers to be trained in the way of the Eckankar, a facilitator revealed that it was wise to stay peacefully with and love your fellow human on earth because all thoughts, words and actions of the individual will be paid for in the same coin based on the law of karma and re-incarnation. According to this spiritual law, our actions in a past life has direct bearing on the present life.

He also revealed that singing ‘Hu’, a love song to God can bring succour and love into the life of the individual as daily guidance from Divine Spirit can be gotten by the individual if the HU is song as first thing in the morning and last thing at night so that the individual can have the opportunity to get feedback from God Almighty, and hear from God on a one-to-one basis without any intermediary

On investigation, members revealed that love for God was the only requirement for joining the religion and that individuals were free to join on their own free will provided they love God Almighty.
