Port Harcourt: Young Surveyors Tasked On Hardwork, Dedication To Duty

Surv. (Alabo) C.D. Charles has charged upcoming surveyors to be hardworking and dedication to duty so as to grow in their chosen profession.

Alabo Charles who gave the charge while presenting a paper titled, “Breeding Executive Winners From Young Professionals,” during the maiden national Delegates training conference organized by the Young Surveyors Network (YSN), Nigeria on Tuesday in Port Harcourt, said that any young professional desires to become an executive winner must be driven along the path of hard work and dedication.

The training conference was tagged “Harvest of Ideas” with theme, “Dynamic Synergy of Professional Towards National Development”.

Alabo Charles is the Managing Director of Carl Dave Consultants Limited identified seven (7) keys to breed executive winners from young professionals which include: personal efforts, formal training, mentorship, professional bodies, regulatory bodies, private sector and government.

Alabo Charles who was also a former VP International NIS pointed out that for one to be an executive winner he or she must stand out in the crowd, respect constituted authorities and to make his or her password honest and truthfulness.

He stressed the importance of formal acquisition of professional training in the relevant fields of study which according to him was the sureway to be rooted in one’s chosen profession.

He charged the young surveyors to be versatile and continue to seek knowledge that will equip them in their career.

Alabo Charles, a former elected chairman of the Asari-Toru Local Government Area, however, called on the government to see education as a way out of reducing ignorance in the society, adding that proper education will enable the various ethnic nationalities in the country to live peacefully, noting that, “ executive winners can only emerge in a peaceful and progressive society.

He cautioned the young surveyors against engaging in any act that will ignite crisis in the society, but they should always channel their energies toward profitable ventures that will enable them to become desirable citizens of the country.

The highlight was the conferment of Award on Him.###
