Okrika: Chief In Fresh Murder Scandal

A prominent self-styled chief in Okrika community in Rivers State has been entangled in a fresh killing in the area. The chief (names withheld) was said to have brutally murdered one Mr. Fialaosika in a mangrove while returning from the fishing expedition.
Our crime correspondent in the area gathered that the victim was the secretary of Kiriyo-Ama Oil and Gas Pipeline Community, adding that the indigenes are in factions over who should occupy sensitive posts and the sharing formular of an undisclosed sum of money from SPDC and NLNG.
Information reaching our crime desk had it that the alleged killer self acclaimed chief in Kiriyo family has been accused of the killing because of his ugly and dangerous attitude in the community.
It was gathered that, the suspected killer chief has been agitating for lion’s share of the community fund.
A source who pleaded anonymity alleged that in recent time the fight over ownership of the community and positions have been the bone of contention, which was sometime ago led to the death of one Mr. Kiriyo at his residence, UPE Sandfilled, Borikiri in the Port Harcourt City Local Government Area. ###
