RAMBLING OF SUBSIDY

The counterbalance nature of doing good
Is documented when you cut a tree to firewood
Because you want light you take life
Your mundane delight is filled by our strife
The giant is thirsty he only drinks fuel
He is angry and hungry spoiling for a duel
A new year is born hardship for all to share
To the elites it is fun if the poor bears the jeer
Jezebel is in town and you say we shouldn’t frown
Hell has come down burning us black and brown
Hardship stares at us from the skyscraper
Friendship makes us behave like wet wrapper
Everything is going up, our salaries are falling down
Our voices can’t stop these monarchs from burning the town
Every drop is N100 no negotiation, ‘we go trek tire’
The house got 100 tires no negotiation ‘dem go write cheque tire’

Boko Haram is on rampage, one year can’t close their page
To extinguish subsidy and cause damage one day everything cage
NEPA is epileptic all the doctors all these years can’t cure
The government is eccentric, subsidy must go, we just have to endure
We put them there they have turned dragon to make us fear
They put us in the fear wagon where we go they don’t care
Laws that put us in bondage take a day to bake
Claws that give us good voyage can never make a cake
The hawks are flying, chicks are scampering, the hen…..
Ah! The hen is in shock, crying she needs pampering in the lion’s den!
