Dr. Sam Sam Jaja seems to be in his season of glory as the fearless outspoken sports icon has a series of victories to his credit.
Dr. Sam Sam Jaja was one time national chairman of the Nigeria Referees Association and gave his best to uplift the association. He happened to be one man that will never take no for an answer where he had spotted a negative idea against any system that he is part of.
Between last year and this year, Dr. Sam Jaja had recorded two resounding victories to his name.
First it was the Nigerian football authority for denying him an opportunity to fight for a position in the Nigeria premier league board.
Of course this action of the sport authority was questioned by our own sports stateaman, Dr. Jaja filed a suit against the authority, claiming that the Nigeria Football Federation and Nigeria Premier League are both illegal. He fought that the nomenclatures of the two boards should reverse to their former names respectively.
He got victory and the authority was asked to compensate him adequately. He was made an Honourary member of the Nigeria football authority board.
Second was his acceptance as the National Deputy Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) at the just concluded National Convention. He was adopted by the party as the national deputy chairman in electoral contest.
This spoke volumes of the man Dr. Sam Jaja. 2011 and 2012 are his most favoured years of victory, where he had successfully created national records for posterity for reference.
The Rivers State born astute sports administrators has found favour with the Nigeria press as he keeps pulling the surprises in different directions, first as a sports man, secondly as a politician. This had not happened to a single man who is from the minority tribe in the country.
The fearless and courageous nature of Dr. Sam Sam Jaja, is a challenge to the rest of the nation called Nigeria.
