Ministry Of Employment Partners With Multi-National Companies

The commissioner for Employment Generation and Empowerment, Hon. Ipalibo Harry has made an appeal to multi-national companies operating in Rivers State to partner with Rivers State in the area of job placement to the unemployed indigenes of the state, in other to alleviate the increasing rate of joblessness and restiveness in the Rivers State society.
Hon. Ipalibo Harry made this appeal recently while having a management staff meeting with C81 Petrotech Marine Limited, Port Harcourt in the ministry’s conference room.
The commissioner said with the on-going unemployment data bank process, he observed that the unemployment rate is a crucial issue that needed to be tackled with vigour; he therefore enjoined the management of C81 Petrotech Marine Limited to reprobate the state government’s kind gesture through partnering with the ministry for employment generation and empowerment to create employment opportunity to at least 30 indigenes of the state.
Responding, the general Manager and the Group Head, Wisdom Nwagwu and Maureen Ogbonna respectively, jointly pledged to make the request known to the appropriate quarters soonest, and maintained that they are sensitive to the unemployment bites in the state, stating that as a business corporation they will relate with the ministry for sustainable result.
Making his remarks, the permanent secretary in the ministry, Barr. Samuel T. LongJohn, on behalf of the ministry thanked the management of C81 Petrotech Marine Limited and enjoined them not to relent in their affirmation. ###
