Give Hotel Olympia gymnasium Hall To Gymnasts – Evang. Soberekon

Former Rivers State and Nigeria weightlifter and wrestler, Evangelist Sokari Soberekon, has urged the Rivers State Government to without delay release the gymnasium in Hotel Olympia to Rivers State gymnasts who are currently not having a hall for training.
The veteran super sports hero made this call when speaking with The Newswriter Sports editor over the weekend. According to the elderly experienced sports man, Hotel Olympia itself was built by the Spiff administration for sports men, stressing that whoever is occupying the building for whatever reasons, is occupying the building illegally.
Evangelist Sokari Soberekon before turning a preacher of God, was Rivers State and Nigeria foremost sports man in the following sports, wrestling, and judo, weightlifting, boxing and excelled in them all.
He pointed out that the Rivers State government under the leadership of Rt. Hon. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi should without delay handover hotel Olympia to the sports council to run its sports activities.
Right as this report is being filed in, there is no hall for Rivers state gymnasts as they are only floating along any available hall they could do their training, despite the fact that they are the National sports festival Gold medal defenders.
Alongside with Evangelist Sokari Soberekon, the chairman of Rivers State gymnastic Association also cried out to the Rivers State government to as matter of fact recognize gymnastics just as football is recognized, while expecting the government to release hotel Olympia to the Rivers States sports council.
The outspoken sports hero declared that the Hotel Olympia gymnasium was built purposely for the state gymnasts, who from time to time will lodge in the hotel to frequently use the gymnasium at their will for the best performance in competitions for Rivers State, in both state and national competitions.
