Asarama: Asuk Royal House Condemns Surveillance Contractors Clash

The chairman of Asuk Royal House of Asarama Kingdom, Mr. Spiff N. Isaiah and Mr. Obed N. Horace, media officer to the Okaan-Ama of Asarama kingdom, His Royal Highness, King Kingston Uraka Asuk V have condemned the incident in its entirety that led to the clash between 2 surveillance groups  working for NNPC.

The chairman of the Royal House who said he was very unhappy with the incident, in his speech, admonished Dr. Luke Eneriene and Mr. Mikang Alali, who are indigenes of Asarama, to always work for the unity, peace, progress and interest of Asarama and appealed to them to exercise sufficient influence over their workers to enable them control their excesses.

According to Mr. Isaiah, “this incident will not deter us from consolidating on the current peaceful atmosphere in the community”. He went further to advise the boys to see themselves as brothers and friends working to enhance their individual welfare status and collective development of Asarama kingdom.

On his part, Mr. Obed Naboth Horace frowned at a recent publication in one of the local tabloids in Port Harcourt.

In the said publication one Mr. Joseph Nteija claimed to be the Okaan-Ama of Asarama which was false.

He stressed that Mr. Appolos Joseph Nteija is just an ordinary indigene of Asarama Community, adding that Okaan-Ama of Asarama is His Royal Highness King Kingston Uraka Asuk V.

Mr. Horace called the media community to be wary of community divisive element like Mr. Appolos Joseph Nteija, a Staff of the Rivers State Ministry of Justice who falsely claimed to be a factional Okaan-Ama of Asarama, and one Mr. Ndendeng N. Atagwung, who claimed to be Chairman Asarama community development committee whereas the Engr. Inye Nathaniel’s rightfully constituted executive Council of Asarama CDC is still in place.

Mr. Horace expressed profound worry at the actions of Barrister Nteija

who has become the arrow-head in the pervasion of justice in Asarama kingdom.

According to Mr. Horace “though Mr. Nteija studied law in the Part-time programme at the Rivers State University of Science and Technology, Port Harcourt, he should have advised his sponsors wisely since the traditional right of the Asuk Royal House to the Paramount Ruler stool of Asarama remains intact and no court of law in Nigeria has associated the Urang (Ewaye) family with such right. Even the Supreme Court Judgment of 2nd  May, 2008 did not make the stool vacant or make the least of references to the Ewaye (Urang) family”.

Mr. Horace also expressed an uncommon worry whether the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) do not have legal frameworks to

sanction or discipline its erring members. He however stated

that the security situation in Asarama kingdom is under control  now. ###
