AYSOF Aimed At Discovering Hidden Talents

The president of African Youths Sports Federation (AYSOF) Dr. Ahmed Lawal has disclosed that AYSOF is aimed at discovering hidden talents and exposing them to a better international career in sports.

Speaking to media men during the quarter finals matches on the ongoing senate president U-20 soccer cup in Port Harcourt, he revealed that his sports organisation is non-governmental and non profit making organization was founded in 1980 and had produced notable international stars like Daniel Amokachi, Tijani Babagida, Garuba Lawal and others.

The soccer administrator further revealed that gifts, cash prizes and soccer diploma certificate are some of the incentives participating teams do gets from AYSOF including international exposure to the first, second and third places teams in an international invitation matches in various European countries.

He pointed out that this year, the winner of the Nigeria senate president U-20 soccer cup will have the privilege to play the 27th edition of the American senate president U-20 soccer cup for boys.

However, he stated that the soccer organization is faced with the challenges of finance adding that most times the problem of the organization in organizing sport competitions in states of the Nigeria federation was hampered by finances. Hinting that the organization solely depends on corporate organizations, and state governments in organizing of its competition.

He used the medium to thank the governor of Rivers State for sponsoring this year’s 12th edition of the senate president peace and unity U-20 soccer cup in Port Harcourt. Praying God to bless him above man’s comprehension.

Meanwhile, two finalist have emerged in the senate president U-20 soccer cup. Ibeku Utd of Abia State will tackle favourite stars of Port Harcourt, Rivers State in the final on a later day to be fixed by the state government. ###
