Sharks Draws Dolphins In PH

Sharks of Port Harcourt draws her sister club Dolphins of Port Harcourt at Sharks stadium Last Sunday. Both clubs are sponsored by the Rivers State government.

Playing under the watchful eye of soccer fans of both sides Sharks played the worst game at home as Dolphins paraded a second side against Sharks, and Sharks failed to find the back of Dolphins net rather the Dolphins second side came so close in scoring at Sharks stadium. The match ended goalless, after Sharks survived the much better second team of Dolphins on a day Sharks needed a much win at home ground.

Both Sharks and Dolphins are shaky at the Nigeria professional league. Sharks is currently occupying the bottom of the log table as fans of the club are worried and attributing the situation of Sharks to the sacking of it technical crew at the wake of the new season.

It would be recalled that Sharks technical crew was sacked over match fixing and its 17 key players were sacked alongside with the curator and the secretary of the club.

A new technical crew was contracted with signing of mainly grassroots players which ordinarily should have  place in Sharks but for the politics that is on within the ministry of sports in Rivers State.

The Personal Assistant (PA) to the commissioner of Sports was single handedly appointed by the commissioner as acting secretary of Sharks while still serving as the PA of the commissioner.

With all these controversies, fans of Sharks and Rivers State soccer fans are of the opinion that Sharks may go relegation this season.
