Mr. Emmanuel Amachree, popularly known as Oba Omega, the Kirikata Master has added another feather to his cap as he was recently honoured by the Nigeria Police through the presentation of an ambassador award. DIG Suleman Fakai, who represented the police IGP Abubakar at the just concluded Police Games Polo Tournament on the 8th of March, 2013 presented the award to Amachree.

It would be recalled that the Port Harcourt born musician had in the past been honoured with the best music award winner, Niger Delta 2011, Rivers State Tourism Ambassador, Grand Lager Beer and now Nigeria Police Ambassador.

Speaking to newsmen, Oba Omega said that God takes record of when one is working hard, adding that people will also know when one is doing good or bad, as nothing is hidden under the earth. He maintained that heaven will take record of whatever anyone is doing pointing out that his priority is to be prophet to his immediate environment, the state and the country at large.

According to him, he is poised to creating entertainment through his style of music that preaches peace across the nation, adding that music is a very sensitive thing that can create violence and at the same time peace. The Kirikata Zoom Master described his kind of music as one that makes people happy and sends a message of peace and security in the country.

Reacting to state governments support to his music career, Oba Omega said that he did not start his musical career with the intention of having government support, stating that he has an NGO and business that are really supporting him and his zeal to support government. He said he will be appreciative of government, if they feel like supporting him, for what he is doing, adding that he is doing everything for the sake of humanity.

The Best Music Award Winner, explained that the popular use of the “Kirikata” language, which originated from him and now used by other musicians, is an indication that it s a positive word and heavenly language, which he picked from the starting of a power bike.

On his advice to the upcoming musicians, Oba Omega said that they have come to a point of supporting and knowing one another, as well as time of knowing God better and going closer to Him. He however, said that knowing the talent in him, gave him the courage to forge ahead and never to go to the ‘bush’ as he was advised to, at the early stage of his musical career. He used the medium to encourage up coming artistes to go closer to God and be unique in whatever they are doing. ###
