Truth Alive International Sensitizes Nigerians On National Anthem

 

Truth Alive International in collaboration with the National Orientation Agency Rivers State has Sensitized Nigerians on the need to have faith and trust in the country by obeying, respecting and reciting the National Anthem and the Pledge at all times.

The President of Truth Alive International Mr. Olufemi Olugimi stated this in a one day Seminar at the Port Harcourt City Council Hall, Moscow Road.

Mr. Olugimi maintained that Truth Alive International a non Governmental Organization is prepared to make positive change and reduce the bad nature of telling lies prevailing in the country.

He stated that falsehood in our society is the root of all Social calamities bedeviling the country and call on the youths to build a new spirit of love and oneness among all in the country irrespective of where one comes from or political affiliation.

The President told participants that Nigerians need a national philosophy that is enshrine in our National Anthem and the Pledge as a force and our unity but there is a lot of hatred, killing, sectionalism and the destruction of properties, noting that our unity have been thrown on the street as to explain why we should be united. Therefore, there is need for us to be more united hence the National Anthem and the Pledge will be a re-awaking spirit to make us do only those things that can move Nigerian forward.

On those who win the award whether they deserve it, the President said people like Chief Jonah Tamuno is a true Nigerian who speak the truth no matter what happen, and also the Director National Orientation Agency Mr. Oliver Wuloghom is another Nigeria that deserved to be honoured because most time their contribution to the society is so enormous; likewise other recipients.

Also speaking, the Chairman of the occasion who is also a recipient Chief (Hon) Jonah Tamuno JP, a Commissioner in the Local Government Service  Commission represented on the occasion by his special Assistant Mr. Weneda W. Weli a media Practitioner said the President of Truth Alive International Mr. Olufemi has continued to preach peace, love and unity in this country.

The chairman stated that Youths are the beacon of hope in this country therefore, there is the need for them to be more proactive in their dealings with one another especially the love of their father’s land.

Hon. Tamuno stated than as a true citizen and a politician he believe in the Corporate existence of Nigeria and as a politician with a human face he love sharing the little he has with those who don’t have.

The Commissioner in the Local Government Service Commission wonder why people rush to commit evil, havoc or destruction but that same person will be sluggish to do good. Mr. Wenedah who represents the Commissioner told Youths not to loose focus and that every family unit represent the nation.

Earlier, the Director National Orientation Agency Rivers State Mr. Oliver Wolugbom said the work done by Truth Alive International is very laudable and should be commended. Represented at the occasion by Mr. Anthony Ogilah, he told Nigerians to joint hands and fight crime rate especially exam malpractice in the country.

Responding on behave of the recipient Hon. Adonye Pepple a former Governorship Aspirant said the youths of today should not destroy what our leaders have build for years.

He regretted that Nigeria is a nation so bless with resources but the people are so deprived, while describing election rigging as an act of witch-craft, whose design is to stop other’s fortune.

Highlight of the event was the lectures delivered by the representative of the state coordinator NYSC Mrs. Priscilla Akhamie, Mrs. Ariolu representative of NYSC Zonal Inspector Phalga.
