PDP Crisis: Ahoada West Throws Weight Behind Amaechi


The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP Ahoada West Local Government chapter have unanimously voted to give their massive and undivided loyalty and support to the Executive Governor of Rivers State, Rt. Hon. Chibuike Amaechi to steer the ship of the State.

This resolution was disclosed by the Chairman of the Party Chief Goodluck Agwolo while speaking with Journalists shortly after a shtakeholders meeting of the Party at the Local Government Headquarters, Akinima.

Chief Agwolo stated that the Ahoada West Local Government would remain committed to Governor Amaechi to lead the state and the Party to greater height.

The Chairman sated that the Party is also strongly behind the leadership of Chief G. U. Ake at the helm of affairs of the Party at the State Level.

He therefore called on the entire membership of the Party to remain calm as the Governor step out to redeem the party from the hands of disloyal party members who intend to create confusion in the State.

The Party leadership and all the stakeholders would continue to lead the people of Ahoada West to be in the mainstream of the party at the state level, he said.

Also speaking, the immediate past Chairman of the Party and a Commissioner in the State Local Government Service Commission, Chief Mbadiwe Allen Ewoh JP who moved the motion for Ahoada West Local Government at the meeting to support Governor Amaechi and Chief G. U. Ake as the State

PDP Chairman stated that the election of Chief Ake was done in a transparent manner.

Chief Ewoh also stressed the need for the peace loving people of Ahoada West to remain calm, law abiding and give peace a chance, saying that very soon normalcy will be established in the party and detractors and enemies of progress would be put to shame.

The Stakeholders meeting was attended by the State Commissioner for Local Government Affairs, Hon Samuel Eiyba, a member of the State House of Assembly, representing Ahoada West Local

Government, Dr Chigbo Sam Eligwe, the Chairman of the Local Government, Barrister Awori Miller was represented by the Local Government Secretary, Mr. Eric Uzoma Robinson, Local Government Party Executives, Elected and appointed supervisory councilors, and ward executives. ###
