First Ateke Tom 5 Aside Soccer

The first comrade Ateke Tom 5 Aside soccer championship among clubsides in Niger Delta will commence on the 15th of September at Okochiri in Okrika Local Government Area.
According to the sponsor, interesting prizes are available to be carted home by participating clubsides.
Also, most valuable player highest goal scorer and most discipline player will all smile home with interesting cash reward, disclosed Chief Comrade Ateke Tom, the sponsor of the championship.
Comrade Tom has being outstanding in sponsoring an annual Wakirike peace and unity soccer cup competition amongst clubsides in Port Harcourt, it environs and had produced promising young future stars to premier clubsides in the Nigeria Glo sponsored professional football league.
Notable among such players are Christian Pyagbara who is plying his soccer trade with Port Harcourt side, Sharks football club of Port Harcourt, and is doing extremely well in Shark attack upfront.
Since his inception of his self determined sponsored peace and unity soccer competition among, clubside in the Niger Delta from 2007 till date, he has not relented in the business of sponsoring soccer competitions in his based Okochiri.
The first edition winner went home with 1 million naira and he has maintained the standard till last year when he increased the first tag cash prize to 1.5 million naira, first runners up 1 million and second runners up N500,000 cash.
Speaking to our sports desk when rewarding the last edition, Chief Comrade Ateke Tom revealed that “This is my special way of encouraging soccer talents in the Niger Delta. I found out that soccer has a lot to do in bringing peace and unity hence I am keen on sponsoring my own kind of soccer competition to bring peace in the Niger Delta region amongst the youths.
Just this year, he has taken a twist into another type of soccer competition with promising cash prizes this time with 5 A-side soccer championship. ###
