2015: Kalabaris Insist On Jonathan Second Tenure…Demand Guber Position

The founder of Network for Defence of Democracy and Good Governance (NDDGG) and Kegema Unity Forum (KUF) has said that the vision of his organization is to ensure that president Goodluck Ebele Jonathan returns to the nation’s seat of power after the 2015 presidential election and the emergence of a Kalabari son as the next governor of Rivers State.

Amb. Sobomabo Jackrich, aka Egberipapa made the declaration in his home town Soku in Degema LGA of Rivers State, at a press briefing. He declared that NDDGG was established to work for the return of Jonathan as President come 2015 general elections.

According to Jackrich, NDDGG is currently having discussions with people of like minds of their dream. He noted further that KUF was formed to bring the people of Kalabari together in unity to actualize their collective dream of having a Kalabari son as the next governor of the state. He admitted of having knowledge of other forums in Kalabari, but maintained that their aim is to form a common front that will help in realizing their objective, since it cannot be a one man’s task and to let the people know that their votes will surely count this time.

On his choice of governorship candidate, Egberipapa opined that he is not the king of Kalabari kingdom to choose or anoint who becomes the candidate, adding that KUF is just a platform for them to brainstorm, urging intending candidates to make themselves available for the people to choose from.

Amb. Jackrich, stressed that even if they do not achieve the tent, it will not be a do or die.

Responding on the same clamour by the Ogonis, Sobomabo reiterated their age long friendship with the Ogonis, saying that he believes that the Ogonis will see reasons to support their quest to produce the next governor of the state after having a round table talk with them.

Adding their voices to the issue, Hon. Arc. Eniye Braide and Soibi Johnbull, described Egberipapa as a man that was divinely appointed to lead the Kalabari people, noting that most people would have waited to be begged before doing what Jackrich is currently doing, which was not about money or connections but out of divine call, they added. ###
