The Paramount Ruler of Port Harcourt, the Rivers State Capital, HRM, Eze Victor Nnanna Woluchem II, Eze Epara Rebisi XII, his Council of Chiefs and Owhor holders have extolled the sterling leadership qualities of Governor Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi as Governor of Rivers State in the past six years.
The Eze and his council made this commendation in his palace in Port Harcourt, as part of activities slated by the people of Rebisi to mark the six years of Governor Amaechi’s giant strides in the transformation of Rivers State.
Eze Woluchem further noted that under Governor Amaechi, the state has witnessed tremendous development, which he said was not the case in the past.
“On behalf of the palace and the good people of Rebisi, I am congratulating His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi as he clocks six years in office as the Executive Governor of Rivers State”, the Eze aid.
He also called on the Governor not to relent or rest on his oars so far recorded, as he urged the Governor to find means of engaging the youths in meaningful ventures.
He noted that employment for the youths is a development for the communities which they came form. The Port Harcourt Monarch opined that once the youths are efficiently and effectively employed, it would address the issues of youth’s restiveness and communal conflicts in the state.
He advised the Governor not to loose focus, as God would grant him wisdom and understanding in this trial time of his administration.
On the issues of coronation and the fractionalization that trailed his installation as Eze Epara Rebisi, HRM, Eze Victor Nnanna Woluchem said the stool has been with the Woluchem right from creation, saying he was crowned the rightful Nyeweli of Rebisi.
He said nobody can coronate Eze Epara Rebisi without the symbol of authority and that the person that can coronate a king in Rebisi kingdom is the Nyeweli of Rebisi and that was the man that coronated him. ###
