Nigeria Is Bleeding

Doubtlessly Nigeria is heading towards unknown destination. No part of the country is safe, especially the northern region. There is no day violence, killings and destruction occur in some states in the north.

While several Nigerian families are yet to finish mourning their loves ones that lost their lives in the Nyanya bus terminal, Abuja, no fewer than 275 female students of the Federal Girls Secondary School, Chibok in Borno State were abducted by the shameless Boko Haram Islamic cult group.

On Tuesday the Boko Haram militants attacked the village of Allagaro in Askari Local Government Area of Borno State killing more than 18 persons.

Also bomb explosions killed 118 persons while 56 injured in the highly populated shoes market axis of the Murtala Mohammed way, Jos in Plateau State.

It is a shame that a nation in which huge amount of money estimated billions of naira is being released as security votes cannot tackle insurgents like the members of Boko Haram. Things are started falling apart, as Nigerians do not know what to do again. As if the nation has gone back to the Thomas Hobbian’s state of nature, where life was short and brutish.

No individual is greater than a country, the Federal Government should find lasting solution to these nonsense killings allegedly sponsors by some political idiots in the country, because they failed in their ambition to rule Nigeria.

We will continue to sympathize with the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Dr. Goodluck Ebele Jonathan as the insurgents have been infiltrated into the nation’s security system. However, the Federal Government should double its efforts to beef up security to crush the activities of Boko Haram. ###
