Obio/Akpor LGA: Boy, 10 Turns To Cat At Rumuolumeni…Says We Also Change To Pythons, Reptiles

There was pandemonium in Rumuolumeni Community in the Obio/Akpor Local Government Area of Rivers State as a boy of ten (10) years metamorphosed into a black cat.
The incident which occurred at Umukoro Street, Rumuolumeni Community was said to have thrown the entire area into cofusion as residents ran helter-skelter. The ‘cat boy’ who is simply identified as Favour hails from Opobo/Nkoro LGA of Rivers State.
Information reaching our newsdesk had it that for some months back a particular black cat has been terrorizing the area between the hours of 12 in the midnight and 3.00am each day.
The said black cat as we are reliably gathered move from one point of the street to the other. A resident of the area told this weekly that the cat usually cry like a baby in the night terrifying and frightening the people of the locality. The resident added by saying that sometime the cat would jump from one house top to another, causing panic in the minds of the people.
The diabolical activities of the said black cat have given sleepless night to the residents of Umukoro Street in Rumuolumeni Community and several attempts have been made to eliminate the cat, but proved abortive. The cat sometime disappeared and appears again.
The clandestine operations of the mysteriously black cat have forced several Christian homes to go to God in prayer by organizing vigils.
However, luck ran out of the cat last Sunday midnight at about 2.00am, when the cat appeared to terrorize the street.
Members of vigilante group who sighted the evil cat, barricaded all the exits of the street to track down the cat.
When the cat was caught, it quickly changed to a 10-year-old boy. The sudden transformation of the cat to a boy, scared some members of the vigilante group as an alarm was raised which attracted residents and people from the neighbouring streets.
The ‘cat boy’ who was later taken to the police in the area, confessed that he was initiated into the amosu cult group by one Alaibe, that they are ten (10) in number.
According to the “evil cat boy” some members of the dangerous amosu cult periodically change to pythons and other dreaded reptiles, to cause havoc within and outside the neighbourhood.
The police quickly swung into action and arrested the said Alaibe who is about 84 years old. Thus Alaibe denied the allegation, saying that he was innocent and has never initiated anybody into cult.
As at the time of filing this report the said “cat boy” and Alaibe are still in the police net. ###
