One of the Peoples Democratic Party, Governorship aspirants in Rivers State, in the 2015 general election, Engineer Emmanuel Georgewill has called on the people of the South- South Zone to rally round President Goodluck Jonathan on his second term bid.
Engineer Georgewill, made the call recently while answering questions from newsmen in Port Harcourt, the Rivers State Capital
While justifying the endorsement of President Jonathan by the South- South Zone, the governorship aspirant noted that his marvelous performance gives credence to the support.
According to him, his performance in all the sectors of the economy is unequal by all the past administrations in the country, adding that when given the second chance he will build on his performance and finish his programmes.
This is beyond ethnicity, this Government under Jonathan has performed virtually better than all administrations we had in the past, and so he should continue and complete his good work.
The Kalabari born politician said, he is venturing into governance to correct and liberate the Rivers State people from the financial recklessness of the past administrations with it attendant negative impact on the citizens.
He promised to build and improve the economy of the state by encouraging and supporting private entrepreneurship adding that the youths will be given a sense of belonging in his Government as they will be encouraged politically, educationally, economically and socially.
On the chances of PDP in the state, Engineer Georgwill, was optimistic that PDP will win the 2015 election by landslide. He noted that Rivers State is a PDP state with solid structures on ground which guarante bright chances in 2015. He maintained that no party even APC has solid legacies in the state to wrest power from PDP.###
