There was confusion penultimate week at the Asalga ultra-model motor park, Buguma, the venue of the Asari-Toru Local Government chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) as the Chairman of the Caretaker Committee (CTC), Hon. Alwell George and the immediate past chairman of the council, Hon. Ojukaye Flag Amachree exchanged hot blows.
The cause of the fight was not known as at the time of going to the press, but reliable source told this weekly that problems started when the ex-council chairman perceived that the CTC chairman was not supporting his (ex-council chairman) candidates in the just concluded House of Assembly primaries in the area.
According to eyewitness the fight took place at the presence of the Speaker of the Rivers State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Otelemaba Dan Amachree. Due to the rowdiness, during the fisticuffs, the speaker was unable to separate the fight.
Information had it that before the fight was over one of them sustained injury on the face. ###
