Nigerian Football Will Be Great Again 5 Years To Come

PINNICKThe captain of Port Harcourt club Tennis Section 1928, Emmanuel Obiora has x-rayed the senior national team future and said, Nigerian football will be great again, if the glass House will avoid winning at all time mentality and allow the team to grow from stage to stage.

According to the articulate skipo of the Port Harcourt Tennis Section, the national senior team should be able to maintain a steady rise by growing and planting the younger upcoming performing players from the country’s junior teams, and allow them blend, not minding whether they are losing matches or not, and watch them make steady improve merit till they hit form, Nigeria will be great again in the next 5 years to come and go on to win the AFCON trophy.

Obiora, opined that like the Spanian national senior team was grown from the junior teams to hint it form, hence the country dominated world football for periods.

He also spoke about sustaining experience in the national team. He said, experience is acquired over the years and does not necessarily come because of age. Age is just a thing of the mind.

Saying there are naturally players who are aged yet they play better than the upcoming and younger players, banging in the exceptional goals.

Before an older player in the national team is replaced or phased out the so called younger players should be able to prove that they are better than the aging players. He added that you don’t throw away experience by just replacing them with younger players because he is young.

Speaking about Keshi returning to be Super Eagles coach, he echoed, what does Keshi want “Keshi said he had other countries offering a contract to him why not go there? Pointing out that Keshi should have bowed out when the ovation is loudest, because he had won the nation cup for Nigeria which is enough achievement for him.

For Oliseh backing out of coaching the Super Eagles because of perceived bias and politics in the Glass House, Obiora said, Oliseh himself knows the politics in the NFF and Oliseh wont be different given the job because of the catel in the football house. ###
