Amaechi’s Aides Now Deal On Pounds, Dollars

Indications have emerged that top political ranking officials in the Amaechi led administration for fear of the unknown about the March 28 and April 11 general elections, have all changed their monies into hard or foreign currencies to enhance them an opportunity to leave the country at will.

Dependable sources within the Governor Amaechi’s cabinet which pleaded for anonymity, reveal that top ranking public office holders particularly, the commissioners and other appointees of government because of fear of losing the upcoming polls have transferred all their monies into the dollars and pounds currency as they are ready to jet out of the country in the event of any loss of election by the APC presidential candidate, Muhammadu Buhari before the swearing in of another government.

Asked why such preparation or action when an election was yet to be conducted, a source said, “Journalists are you not in this state or see what has been going on, that if APC fails the governor might be a target and his supporters would be in great danger? Of a truth, the governor has been embarrassing Mr. President and so the man though quiet may not have it easy with the governor, if he is eventually re-elected,” the source explained.

Another source within the state secretariat complex also confirm to The Newswriter Political Desk of the serious preparations being made by some of the appointees, saying that most of the commissioners have been absenting themselves from duties but running their offices at the comfort of their choice hotels and at various point of interest other than their offices.

According to the source, commissioners are found in their offices when there are monies to be signed for or conveyed to preferred destination, alleging the fears that Permanent Secretaries and Directors would suffer the after effect of their bosses’ activities in due cause.

Similarly, a source maintained that barely three (3) months to end the current administration in the state, some public office holders have already ended or concluded their services but awaiting disbursement of any remnant in the offices. ###
