Poll: There Will Be No Bloodshed– Emolga CTC Boss

The newly appointed Caretaker Committee chairman of Emohua Local Government Area of Rivers State, Engr. Nnamdi Abba has assured the people of the area of adequate security network, peace to enthrone development in the LGA.

Engr. Abba gave the assurance while swearing in members of the CTC at the council headquarters Emohua LGA.

According to him, hoodlums in Emohua LGA have constituted nuisance in the area by stealing human beings in the name of kidnapping to enrich themselves expressing sadness that a medical doctor, Dr. Sam Opara who was recently kidnapped by the hoodlums died in the hand of abductors and called on the security agencies in the area to partner with his administration to get rid of insecurity in the area.

The Emolga CTC council boss who disclosed that Hon. Amaechi the governor of Rivers State has charged all CTC chairmen in the state during their oath of office at the Government House to treat everyone equal irrespective of party affiliation, tribe or ethnicity assured that he will carry everyone along in the scheme of things.

On the insinuation that there will be blood shed during the forthcoming March 28, April 11 general elections, Engr. Abaa assured that there will be no bloodshed in the election rather the election will be peaceful, credible free and fair and charged the newly sworn-in members of the CTC to cooperate as a team to achieve his desire goal of piloting the affairs of the council effectively.

Reacting on a statement credited to Mr. Opunabo Inko-Tariah, the publisher of The Hard Truth newspaper and a staunch member of PDP that the recent crisis which rocked Emohua APC in the LGA was as a result of their struggle for who becomes CTC chairman in the area, Engr. Abba who denied the allegation described it as baseless and fallacies.

According to him, the position of CTC chairman is not an elective position, there is no contender in the appointment of CTC chairman, pointing out that it is only the governor of a state who has the sole authority to appoint whoever he chooses and no one directs him on what to do, pointing out that it is only criminals that fight within themselves outside the council and not for the CTC matter.

The Emolga CTC council boss uses the ceremony to announce his Vice Chairman as Mr. Oliver Onyegbula a member of the CTC, while comrade Woke Socrat will serve as secretary of the council.

Other members of the CTC include: Mr. Ncholas Enyi, Obinachi, Emeji, Barr. Jude Chukwu, Barr. Ken Aggi and Sharrif Ajuru.

Responding on behalf of the CTC members, Mr. Onyegbula, while thanking people of Emohua for the privilege giving to them to serve, promised to justify the confidence impose on them and assist the CTC chairman to pilot the affairs of the LGA effectively. ##
