Rev. Soberekon Advises Wike To Be Careful Of Sycophants

One of the founding fathers of Old Rivers State, an agitator and establisher of Oil Derivation in Niger Delta in 1981, Rev. (DR.) Sokari Soberekon has admonished the newly elected Governor of Rivers State, Chief (Barr.) Nyesom Wike to be careful of sycophants in his administration.

According to the Elder Statesman, all those that have nothing to offer to the successful rulership of Wike should keep off.

He further advised that Governor Wike should make use of patriotic citizens, no matter his or her party affiliation. Adding that those he should use are those that are politicians but not partisan.

Rev. Soberekon said, he has never asked for a job from any governor or Government. Saying that he is asking for one from Wike’s administration to correct the wrongs or mistakes done by Amaechi’s administration for planting trees under High-Tension Wire with multi-million naira, noting that, it is now life threatening to the citizenry

The Reverend Elder Statesman said, he offers himself to work in a committee to correct those wrongs done by the immediate past administration.

The roving parliamentarian and the first Nigerian Professional Wrestler and Weight Lifter, was asked by Journalists what does he meant by “roving parliamentarian”, he responded by saying, he always appear In peoples parliament organized by the Rivers State Government and asked questions and makes valuable suggestions.

Though, he Amaechi led government never granted audience to he Elder Statesman who fought for the creation of Old Rivers State.

According to the outspoken, equity and justice fighter of our time, Amaechi never gave audience to him, because he is not of APC (All Progressives Congress), hence he said, he defines APC as “Amaechi’s Problems Continues’ hinting that the day Amaechi apologized to Rivers people on Television, he changed APC definition to “Amaechi Peace Commence’ At the Federal level, APC is “Assured People’s Comfort”, to Nigeria in general and Niger Delta in particular He added.

Soberekon also thanked Governor Wike for keeping to his electioneering campaign of awarding Trans-Kalabari Road”, saying River people will never forget the Governor’s faithfulness.
