Re-run Elections: Fake Voters’ Cards Flood Rivers… As Senator Abe Crashed

dakuku nFollowing the nullification of the elections of all senators in Rivers State by the Court of Appeal sitting in Abuja, the information reaching our political desk had it that fake Permanent Voters Cards PVCs are being imported into the State ahead of the re-run election in February 2016.
According to what we gathered some members of the All Progressives Congress, APC in the state are collaborating with some officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission of the manufacturing illegal PVCs.
The rational behind the importation of the fake PVCs into Rivers State is to rig the forthcoming re-run elections in the state.
Sources informed this weekly that the Rivers APC members are planning to cause problems that will disorganize Governor Nyesom Ezenwo Wike’s administration so as to attract the attention of the Federal Government to declare a state of emergency in the state.
Meanwhile the people of Rivers South-East have declared that they will not vote for Senator Magnus Abe, in the planned re-run election saying that while he was in the National Assembly he has never initiated good programme that enrich the lives of the people of his constituencies. Comrade Ngbor James, the coordinator of Ogoni Political Mandate (OPM) made this known, while speaking to our correspondent in his office in Port Harcourt on Monday. According to Comrade James, Senator Abe should forget about contesting the re-run election because he cannot win, adding that APC has nothing to offer the people of the state.
In a related development the pro-democracy group in Rivers State, the Grassroot Development Initiative (GDI) says it has fully prepared for the re-run election in the state.
The president of the body Hon. Bright Amaheule stated this while addressing newsmen, shortly after a congress meeting of the group held at Obio/Akpor LGA at the weekend.
He expressed optimism that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) led government will win even if elections are held twenty (20) times in the State. The GDI chieftain told the people of the state to be calm adding that ‘come rain, come sun’ PDP must rule Rivers State. ###
