Stop Daring Niger Deltans, APC Chieftain Tells President Buhari

A top ranking member of the All Progressives Congress, APC in the Andoni Local Government Area of Rivers State (name withheld) has condemned in totality the seeming invasion of the Niger Delta region by the President Buhari led federal government in the guise of hunting for either pipeline vandals or High Chief Government Ekpomopolo and advised the President Buhari to redress his steps against daring people of the region.

The APC chieftain who maintained that his membership of the Party does not in any way undermine his interest or murder his feelings for his region while chatting with The Newswriter News Editor in Port Harcourt, Wednesday called on President Buhari to respect the rights of the Niger Deltans and desist from running or intending to run a one Party system in Nigeria, said a Party system would amount to dictatorial and anarchical rule which Nigerians are already kicking against.

Responding on the acclaimed numerous defections in Rivers State, the top political figure who preferred anonymity lampooned the defectors of having no confidence in themselves, revealing that such are money mongers who are only interested in the suspected money the APC would vote out for her return elections, and afterwards return to their Party(ies).

According to him,, “though defection is part of the system but there are processes that would lead to defection, however most of those defecting are of no electoral value in their places, and I wonder what they could help us to do because there are indications they would return back to their Party”. He said.

He used the medium to opine that defectors would have remain their respective Party to form a credible opposition which the president is driving to murder, adding that even if there would be governorship re-run election in Rivers, it does not implies that APC would surely wins, and called on Political Parties to reject defectors henceforth.

On the retrieval and cloning of voter’s cards in the area, he declined knowledge of such activities but maintained that such is criminal in nature where a Party would entice voters to get their original voter’s cards for cloning or photocopy for purposes of rigging the forthcoming re-run elections in the state and vowed to expose those involve on his knowledge about it.

Meanwhile sources have revealed to The Newswriter that as the days draw closer the various contenders for both the Federal House of Representatives and State Assembly are not leaving stones unturned to ensure victory at the reschedule elections coming soon. ###
