Northern Group blames Gowon over Plot to Drag former President Jonathan As APC Consensus Candidate

An Arewa People Forum (APF) has blamed one of the Northern Governor (name withheld) for plotting to facilitate the emergence of former president Goodluck Jonathan as APC consensus presidential candidate.

According to the group, the governor has been lobbying top APC members to automatically accept ex-president Goodluck as their consensus candidate for the party to break the gap between the disappointed Nigerian citizens over insecurity, hunger and poverty as higher inflationary trend persisted.

The statement signed by the group’s leader, Ishaku Ahmed  said “it is high time the north and other members of the party interested in the continued existence of APC rise up to challenge the Governor from handling over the party ticket to Jonathan come the forth primary of the APC.

It will be recalled that in the past,  the founding members of APC campaigned against Jonathan accusing him of hastening the country with his negligence poor leadership now he has come to judgment as the good brain. ###
