Arch Bishop Hails RSG Effort In Education

The Principal of Obama High School, Bakana and Arch Bishop and President of Christ Army Church of Nigeria worldwide, Sir Ibiba Siri (JP) has hailed Governor Chibuike Amaechi and his active commissioner of Education, Dame (Mrs.) Alice Allison on the their commitment to ensure good learning environment for students in the state.
He described it as a total turn around on the sector.
Bishop Ibiba Siri made this remark while speaking with our Special Project Correspondent at Bakana last weekend.
Sir Siri also thanked The Newswriter Newspaper on its effort to know what is happening in the rural schools and urged that a message of congratulation be communicated to the governor and the commissioner on their divine mission to change the traditional operation of the government owned junior and secondary schools in Rivers State.
He further appealed to the RSG to do more for Obama High School Bakana, especially on the lack of some facilities at the school and post more teachers to increase the teaching strength for a better tomorrow.
The Bishop also advised students of the school to be law abiding at all times and shun anti-social tendencies that will not garnish their future, adding that the output of a student is determined by the input in education.
The principal said as a bishop of the Christ Army Church of Nigeria worldwide, he will maintain the position of government order on approved levies, no matter his challenges as a principal in the interest of free education for a better society.
He also made a special appeal to the state government to design a flexible package that will address challenges of principals in the government owned secondary schools and urged all principals of the schools to abide with government directives on approved levies to avoid seeing themselves as stumbling blocks on government effort to introduce free education in Rivers State.
The Bishop also used the medium to advise all practicing journalists in the state to consider verification as a discipline and emphasized on investigative journalism.####
