Traditional Ruler Applauds Potentials Of Amaechi’s Leadership

A renown traditional ruler in Rumuokoro, PortHarcourt, Rivers State, Eze F. N. Worlu (JP), has lauded the state governor, His Excellency governor Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi for his effective administration within the past years of leadership
Eze Worlu, who is the paramount ruler of Awalama Town, made the commendation during the official launching of a journal “The Organizer”, recently in Port Harcourt, capital of Rivers State.
The traditional ruler spoke extensively on education which he said, has received government’s attention very seriously to boost the morale of both the teachers and children.
He commended the governor for his initiative in the educational sector which he described as the outcome of a well articulated plan of action by the administration.
His words: “The pacesetters of every development project of Rivers State. Our earnest prayer is that Almighty God in his mercies grant our visionary, dynamic, pragmatic, indefatigable and dedicated governor the wisdom to rule the state in his second tenure, with the fear of God where love, peace and development will be the order of the day”.
Further, he said Amaechi has been a good leader in other spheres if life but now, much is expected him “ because much has been given to you.
He pleaded with the governor to use his good offices to recognize chieftaincy stools in Ikwerre land as the custodians of the people and count on their co-operation at all times.
“We admire your deputy Engr. Tele Ikuru who is very serviceable in your administration”, Eze Worlu explained.
Eze Worlu who attended the occasion with his wife, poured encomiums on the publishers of the magazine through which the populace can extend its gratitude to the government’s giant strides in education and others.
He urged the board of directors of the magazines to endeavour to contribute its quota in the rebranding of education predicated on the governor’s vision and mission.
“The board should associate itself with the Amaechi initiative such as the clean and green programme, examination ethnics aimed at checking examination malpractices”, he stated.
However, the traditional ruler observed that despite the vast resources of the state, a great majority of our people are poor and live in rural areas within communities with serious ecological problems.
“Seventy percent, have no access to safe drinking water. Sixty percent have no access to primary healthcare, forty percent consume less than one-third of the minimum required protein and vitamins in-take due to low purchasing power. The level of unemployment among our youths is among the highest in the country. But since Gov. Amaechi took the reigns of authority as the governor of Rivers state, lots of impressionable impacts have been made in all sectors to reverse the ugly trend, leaving on ground a rhapsody of joy and laughter for the people” he stated. ###
