I wish to congratulate you for having made in into 2012.
The year which began with so many dilemmas as a result of the removal of fuel subsidy is a blessing in disguise. Nothing good comes easy.
One has to be hopeful, optimistic and determined to do his or her best in his or her little corner!
Welcome back into my world of ‘My Kitchen window’.
I wish to introduce my book “The Total Girl” written to empower both the girl as well as the boy child.
It may interest you to note that this book has been approved by the ministry of Education of Rivers, Ebonyi and Edo States respectively. Copies of the Total Girl have also reached Niger, Lagos, Akwa Ibom, Adamawa states among others.
I so much believed in the words of Her Excellency, Dame Judith Amaechi who declared through Prophetic utterance that though the book is small but it’s powerful and that it will go places. This positive prayer was made during its launch on 26th April, 2008 at the then NUJ premises along Moscow Road.
The effort geared towards the promotion of the book in the state owned Rivers State Broadcasting Corporation, Radio Rivers 99.1fm under the auspices of the General Manager, Ms. Mediline Tador (JP) and Late Sir. Felix Kpai (Director commercial) cannot be over emphasized. I remain grateful to all those who made the work a huge success. Not forgetting Sir, Augustine Nwikinaka (former General Manager Rivers State Newspaper Corporation (RSNC) who encouraged me to write in 2006 at the then Obi Wali Cultural centre, Port Harcourt, during a book launch.
Many schools in Rivers State have declared their interest in this book. I encourage the government, parents, guardians, school owners and youths organization to take advantage of this book, because it is a book among many books that can redirect the paths of our young people, particularly the girl child. The girl child life could be marred with any little mustard.
Below is the forward to the total girl by Ms. Mediline Tador (JP), a woman of substance, humble, accommodating and servant leader. ###
