The Final Journey of A Rare Gem

The truth remains that one day man must die because death is a necessary end and a call all must answer when the time comes. This is inevitable.
In the case of His Royal Majesty, Eze Nwachukwu Harry Adindu, the Enyenweali IX of Azumini Kingdom who was laid to rest on Saturday 22nd September, 2012 in his town, Azumini Ndoki in Ukwa East local government area of Abia State, at the ripe age of sixty-seven years, this call came almost unexpected.
Speaking to our reporter at his resident at Azumini-Ndoki, the burial committee secretary, Hon. Felix Wabana, said that the Late Eze Adindu was one of the greatest king of Azumini, saying that Azumini kingdom will ever leave to remember his indelible marks, as an epitome of humility, self-respect and a disciplinarian.
The secretary commended all those who came far and near to give the late king a befitting burial.
He thanked the Abia State Governor Chief T. A. Orji for his immense contribution to the successful burial of Eze N. H Adindu, and lauded the Abia State council of traditional rulers, the Amanyanabo of Opobo kingdom, King Douglas Dandeson Jaja and his entourage, the Ukwa East council boss, Hon. Engr. Lewis Obanyi and his executives.
Others were Sir. Wilie Wabara, Ukwa East council of Ndieze and all committee heads and members, most especially law enforcement agents and the chairman of security committee Hon. Chika Okere who made the peaceful environment a reality.
Hon. Wabara Charged the youth and all inhabitants of Azumini to be law abiding now that they are mourning their dear Eze Adindu pending when a new Eze is installed.
He appealed to Azumini council of chiefs to be in unity so as to ease them work as a team in scheme of things.
The secretary solicited for all those who were not in attendance during the burial, saying the occasion will last for next one week so as to mark a successful burial right of the late Eze.
He called on the state and local governments to always remember Azumini kingdom in the scheme of things now that their paramount ruler is dead while assuring total peace in the area. ###
