Gokana UTD Embarks On Training Tour

National Division 2 side Gokana United Football Club, in Gokana Local Government Area will be embarking on training tour among the 20 communities in Gokana local government. The aim is to shape up the team players for the next coming season. Already the team has taken its first step by moving to Lewe community.
This was disclosed by Ambassador Solomon Lah, Team Manager of Gokana United on Friday, while addressing the players and officials of Gbere Lewe football club of Bomu on its final day of the team training tour of Bomu Community.
Ambassador Lah, who is also the chairman of Gokana Football Association (FA) said the essence of the tour is not just to present the team to the various communities in the area for sponsorship and discovery of budding talents, but also to promote peace among the youths of the LGA.
The chairman of the Gokana FA has earlier made a similar move in curbing social vices in the local government. He particularly advised youths of the area to shun criminality and embrace peace by making use of their God given talents and make a living for themselves.
According to him, as long as he lives, he will forever support Gokana youths who have sports talent and would want to improve on their talents to bring glory to the local government. ####
