RSYF Acknowledges Evans Bipi As Rivers Speaker

The apex non-governmental youth body of Rivers State, Rivers State Youth Federation has uphold the emergence of Hon. Evans Bipi of the Rivers State House of Assembly as its speaker.

President of the RSYF Comrade Adokiye Mujiton, made the acknowledgement on the occasion of the honouring and acknowledgment of Rivers Commissioner of Police Mbu Joseph Mbu as grand patron of the organization.

Speaking on behalf of the youth body, Comr. Adokiye Mujiton used the occasion to advised the four northern governors that recently visited Rivers State to support arrogance to please concentrate in the development of their various states.

According to Comr. Adokiye Mujiton, the attempt of the four northern governors failed as they could not prevent the impeachment of the former speaker and the election of “Rt. Hon. Evans Bipi as the speaker of Rivers State House of Assembly, stating that as youths “Our destinies as youths were threaten when there were no freedom of peaceful Assembly in the state, other CP’s compromised and it looked like it normal, nobody or government should think that they are above the rule even at the worst provocation, let exercise restraint.

“This is our humble appeal, that the present administration of Rivers State government should distance itself from external influence that is misleading and concentrate on finishing the long projects, to have the people first in their scale of preference and to learnt to submit to higher authorities within the state and the Federal Government.

“We also urge the Nigeria police not to give up your good works in state no matter how some (minorities) in the state do not want the good services, we want to crave your indulgence that the majorities of Rivers people need the good services of the Nigeria police. We are happy that with their help, we now have an atmosphere of peace and security, we are proud of the Nigeria police, we are proud of Mr. Mbu Joseph Mbu (CP) as the most discipline and contributive CP in Rivers State. The took place at the police officer mess, 41 Forces Avenue, Old GRA, Port Harcourt on the 26th of July, 2013.

Highlights of the occasion was the presentation of award plague of honour  to the commissioner of Rivers State Police Command, CP Mbu Joseph Mbu as the body grand patron.

Prominent persons that grace the occasion were chairman of the People Democratic Party, Okrika LGA, Hon. Arnold Davies, Austine young state chairman of PCRC, traditional rulers and chair persons of other youth bodies. ###
