RSG Faults Obuah’s Move To Reconcile Amaechi And Wike

The chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party in Rivers State, Hon. Felix Obua aka “Go Around” has said he would no longer sit and watch two brothers from Ikwerre extraction, Rt. Hon. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi the governor of Rivers State and Barr. Ezebunwo Nyesom Wike the Minister of State for Education engage themselves in media war but would do every thing humanly possible to summon and possibly reconcile them.

Hon. Obuah dropped the hint during a reception organized by the Grassroot Development Initiative in honour of Barr. Nyesom Wike at Rumueme Civic centre Obio/Akpor LGA Rivers State.

Hon. Obuah noted that his intention of reconciliation of the two brothers was to broker peace and re-invent peace between them as to move the state forward.

In a quick reaction on the statement credited to Hon. Felix Obuah, Mr. David Iyofor the chief press secretary to the Rivers State governor described Obuah’s comment as most disrespectful ridiculous and laughable.

According to a statement signed by Mr. Iyofor on behalf of the Rivers State governor urged Obuah to show respect to the office of the governor of the state “it is most disrespectful to stand on a podium in the ministers place and announced that he is summoning governor Amaechi to a reconciliatory meeting at this point and with actions like that, it has become pertinent for Rivers people to start asking question about the stability of that young man (Obuah) “part of the problem with character like Obuah and his backers and sponsors is that they have suddenly decided to forget that governor Amaechi was chosen by Rivers people, elected and mandated by the people to lead them until May 29th 2015 and it is important that they show respect to that office and the man who occupied it.

It does not matter whether they like the face of the governor or not once the people has mandated him to lead them they must show respect for him and the office he occupied which he hold in trust for the people but Obuah and his cohorts have been most disrespectful to the governor and the office of the governor of Rivers State. ###
