The Ijaw National congress (INC) Eastern zone has intensified its sensitization campaign towards 2015, insisting that Dr. Goodlcuk Jonathan’s second term bid is undebatable.
The group stated this on Wednesday through the chairman of the occasion, Elder Raymond Gbara during a one day programme in Port Harcourt. He appealed to the people to take charge of the situation at this moment and ensure that the President, who is an Ijaw son continues in office beyond 2015.
“Ijaw people must arise and take up the challenge. We cannot afford to fail now that Ijaw nation has been given the opportunity to pilot the affairs of this country”, Gbara asserted.
In his goodwill message at the event the South South coordinator of Democratic Campaign Network for Good Governance (DCNGG) and gubernatorial aspirant in Rivers State under the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Mr. Darego Somiari assured INC that he will do everything in his capacity to ensure that President Jonathan is returned, come 2015.
Throwing light on his vision as a governorship aspirant, he said his 30 point agenda will focus mainly on quality education, infrastructural development, as well as capacity building that will usher in economic development to Rivers people.
Mr. Somiari assured the people that DCNGG will work in partnership with INC to ensure the re-relation of Dr. Goodluck Jonathan as President of Nigerian in 2015.
Earlier, the former Managing Director of NDDC, Pst. Power Aginigan had delivered a keynote address titled, “walk in the footprints”. ###
