Boko Haram: WALGA Boss Urges Nigerians To Join Hands With Military

Chief Amangi Sunday, the chairman of Okrika Local Government Area has called on Nigerians not to be deterred by bad elements such as Boko Haram, militancy but should be hopeful.

The Okrika council boss made the remark in his goodwill message during this year’s Nigeria 54th independence anniversary celebration at the Okrika Local Government Area of Rivers State.

Chief Sunday who noted that the country is moving forward despite the menace of Boko Haram and other ungodly activities noted that the military is doing their best to crush the insurgence stressing that Nigerians should encourage themselves and join hands with military to fight them to a standstill.

According to him, Nigeria is making progress in all sectors, the reason why Mr. Patrick Sawyer of Liberia the victim of Ebola virus ran to Nigeria was to be rescued from the sickness, although he died but God knows why pointing out that no matter the difficult situation God is with Nigeria.

The Okrika council boss who recalled the situation of Nigeria during Abiola era in 1993 noted that God intervened in the scenario that could have led Nigeria into another civil war, advised Nigerians to be steadfast assuring that God is with Nigeria.

He commended Governor Amaechi for his wonderful performance across the 23 LGAs of Rivers State in all human endeavour and urged the incoming administration to consolidate in Gov. Amaechi’s achievements and not to abandon projects.

Also in his speech, Hon. Gabriel Adonye Jumbo, the Head of Administration, Okrika LGA who recalled several administrations that led Nigeria ranging from Sir Tafawa Belewa, the Prime Minister of Nigeria to Dr. Goodluck Jonathan.

Nigeria is doing its best to improve its performance and appealed to Nigerians to join hand with the government to succeed in its efforts.

He commended Governor Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi for his laudable projects especially in education and health sectors and pleaded with Rivers people to support him. ##
