Wike: KUPIGG Faults A. K. Horsfall, Ann Kio Briggs

The Kalabari Unity Project Initiative for Good Governance (KUPIGG) said that its members are not happy with the recent statement on security threats attributed to Chief A. K. Horsfall, saying that the former Chairman of Oil Minerals Producing Area Development Commission OMPADEC, should leave Chief Barr. Nyesom Wike alone.

This was contained in a press statement issued in Port Harcourt on Monday, the association advised Chief Horsfall, as an elderstateman to give good counsel rather than causing panic in the minds of the Rives indigenes. The KUPIGG further lampooned Ann Kio Briggs for making inciting statements in the state, which the group said are capable of setting Rivers ablaze.

The press statement which was jointly signed by the Chairman of the group, Comrade Jerry Horsfall, and the Secretary, Dcn. Damiete West, the KUPIGG sent a passionate appeal to the police and the relevant security agencies to call the duo to order so that their inflammatory utterances would not cause confusion in the state.

KUPIGG which commended the 5 man panel of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for conducting a credible Wards Congresses, said that the last Saturday’s Wards Congresses were peaceful and orderly.

The group further lauded Chief Felix Obuah and other officers of PDP in the state for their peaceful disposition during the wards congresses. The group blasted politicians for finding holes in the wards congresses describing them as “lazy politicians” who aim is to thwart the nation’s democratic structures.

KUPIGG felicitated with the delegates that emerged during the congresses across the 23 LGAs and pleaded with them to support and vote for Chief Barr. Ezebunwo Nyesom Wike during the Governorship party primary come November, 29, 2014.

“Wike’s candidature is a symbol of peace and also a Divine call and mandate. He is a chosen messiah, and the only one that for now can lead us to the Promised Land”.

The group advised all gubernatorial aspirants to sink their ambition and give their support to Chief Wike, because he is the light of Rivers politics and progress.
