Jonathan Will Use Amiesiemaka Stadium For His Presidential Rally – Wike

Rivers State PDP governorship candidate, Barrister Nyesom Ezenwo Wike has declared that the PDP Presidential Campaign Rally in Rivers State will hold at the Amasiemaka stadium on January 28 contrary to claims by Governor Rotimi Amaechi.

Wike stated that the stadium belonged to the Rivers people and that President Jonathan would use it for his campaign rally.

The Former Minister of State for Education spoke in Port Harcourt on Tuesday during a meeting with Goodluck to Goodluck Political pressure group.

He said: “The PDP Presidential Rally will hold at the Amasieamaka Stadium on Wednesday, January 28. The APC held their own Presidential campaign rally on January 6, 2015 and an earlier rally on October 25, 2014 in the same stadium.

“Our Presidential Rally will hold at that stadium because it belongs to the people. We are working with all stakeholders to ensure that the right thing is done to move the nation forward. We are committed to the peaceful use of the stadium for our presidential campaigns”.

He urged members of the Goodluck to Goodluck Political Group to continue with their massive mobilization for the re-election of President Jonathan.

In his remarks, Legal Adviser of Goodluck to Goodluck Political Group stated that they were working for the emergence of President Jonathan and Barrister Wike.

Also on Tuesday, Wike inaugurated the committees that would organise the Presidential Campaign Rally in Rivers State.

He charged the committees to work selflessly to set the tone for the re-election of President Jonathan.

Responding on behalf of the committee members, Rivers State PDP Chairman, Bro. Felix Obuah assured that the members would deliver an outstanding presidential rally in the state.
