Prof. kuta Fekarubobo bags Excellence Award

Prof. Godswill Kuta Fekarubobo, a Professor of Organic and photochemistry and the Dean post graduate School of University of Science and Technology, Nkpolu Oroworokwu, Port Harcourt has added another feather in his cap as the Niger Delta graduates for non violence has bestowed him an award.
The presentation of award ceremony took place in his office at the Post Graduate Secretariat University of Science and Technology, Port Harcourt.
Presenting the award the national president of the Niger Delta Graduates for non violence, Comrade Amos Devison Onwuka while presenting the award for excellence said the honour was in recognition of his positive knowledge he impacted on the lives of students of the university and other well meaning Nigerians as well as his role in reviving the University of Science and Technology, Port Harcourt.
According to him, “when we got the hint of his performance at the University, we quickly made research, out of 40 members of the Niger Delta Graduates for Non-violence that examined his performance 39 voted in his favour and found worthy for the award hence we bestowed the award on him”.
Comr. Onwuka who recalled St. Aquinas words that service to humanity is a prize everyone on planet earth will pay noted that Prof. Godswill Kuta Fekarubobo has paid his own prize by impacting positive knowledge on students and humanity pointing out that the ideology the students have emulated from him will remain indelible in their memories.
Comr Onwuka who described people of the Niger Delta zone as hard working noted that the organization believes in peace of the Niger Delta, it organizes seminar on peace of the region and partner with those who encourage peace.
According to him, “we are partnering with you because you preach and encourage peace in the Niger Delta region as well as Nigeria”.
In his response, Prof. Fekarubo who expressed his profound gratitude to members of the Niger Delta Graduates for non violent for recognizing his performance with the award bestowed on him.
According to him, “to me the award you presented is a good one, the first award I have received was from the department of chemistry in the university of Science and Technology and you are first from outside the institution to present me with an award so I am very grateful”.
Prof. Fekarubobo who recalled his cordial relationship with the students of the university noted that he has assisted the students in many ways assuring that he would not relent in his philanthropic grsture.
He commended the AG Vice Chancellor of the University of Science and Technology, Prof. Blessing Didia for his support and his performance in the University.
The university dean who dedicated the award to his wife Mrs. Bettie Fekarubobo promised to assist members of the Niger Delta Graduates for non violent any time he is call upon to achieve their goal of ensuring peace in the region. ###
