Asalga/Akulga Federal Constituency: PDP Candidate Crashed …Dr. Dawari Leads

dawariThe candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the forthcoming re-run election in Asalga/Akulga Federal constituency, Ms Boma Goodhead has suffered a fresh set back as a socio-political group known as Kengema Unity Forum (KUF) has vowed not to vote for her in the day of the election.
According to information reaching our political desk, the group took the decision due to her ineffectiveness and inability to represent the constituency during her brief stay in the lower chamber of the National Assembly. We also gathered that Boma GoodHead has no capability and strength to defend and fight for the needs of the constituency in the House.
Another prominent socio-cultural group in the area, which calls itself The Kalabari Mandate through its spokesman, Comrade Ibim Soberekon has called on Boma Goodhead to sink her ambition and support the candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Dr. Dawari George. The group said that lawmaking in the 21st century demands serious minded and well educated individuals not persons like Boma Goodhead.
“Lawmaking is not a child’s play or picnic. It is a serious matter as far as democracy is concerned, Comrade Soberekon said.
“And our findings show that Boma Goodhead is not fit for the job. The right man to do the job is Dr. Dawari George. Asalga/Akulga federal constituency is not for anyhow, anyhow person. We need a credible someone to represent and that is the truth about it”, Comrade Soberekon said his group will mobilize support for the APC candidate, Dr. Dawari George in the March 19, 2016 re-run elections. However, the group vowed to resist any form of rigging in the date of the re-run polls adding that Dr. Dawari George is the answer.
Meanwhile the opinion poll conducted by our political correspondent has placed Dr. Dawari George ahead of Ms Boma Goodhead. The constituents interviewed so far said that they are more comfortable with Dr. George’s leadership and representation than anyone else. They called on the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC to provide a level playing ground for all the contestants so as to test their popularity during the election. ###
