Michael Takes Emilia To The Altar

It was at Christ the Reigning King Mission, Zain Power Station, Elele in Ikwerre Local Government Area of Rivers State, where the nuptial knot between Brother Micheal Elmenwo and former Miss Emilia Gbanibachi Wokoma was tied on the 14th of April, 2013.

The solemnization of the Holy Matrimony was officiated by 3 ministers which include: Pastors Peter Nwachukwu, Clinton C. Ezekiel and Chimezie Ede. The 1st lesson of the day was taken from the Bible book of Genesis 2:4-9, 15-25 by the groom while the 2nd lesson was read from the book of Eph. 3:14-19 by the bride.

At state school IV Elele, venue of the wedding reception, Mr. Tony Amadi, chairman of the occasion, who was accompanied  by his wife, thanked God for a day like this. He pointed out that the institution of marriage has been there from the time of old, urging the new couple to look up to God first, in everything they do. He commended the young couple for their decision to come together as one, advising both parents of the couple to always allow them to handle their differences at times alone.

He opined that what God has joined together no one should put asunder and prayed that the joy and safety that brought the guests will see then back. While Mr. Iyke Eze described the occasion as a wonderful thing happening in the land of Elele, urging young men and women to always go for their own partner.

In his remarks, the sponsor and Royal Father of the day, Chief Okechukwu Okah, Eze Omekwa-Ali 1 of Ikwerre land and the Chief Executive Officer of Ocabique Planet Hotels, used the medium to call on young men and women in the society to avail themselves the opportunity of early marriage, pointing out that late marriages always leads to the training of one’s children by another person as a result of death, subjecting such children to untold hardship in life.

On his philanthropic life, Eze Omekwa-Ali affirmed that his motivation in reaching out to people is to challenge other men in the society on the need to help their brothers and sisters, community and the nation at large; adding that such gesture of selflessness will help in building a fast and better society.

Other personalities that spoke to the Newswriter at the event include: Chief Godwin Eke Amadi and Mr. Wonah A. Godwin among others, while the chief celebrant, Mr. Michael Umenwo, among other speakers thanked God for the day’s weather. He described the day as wonderful and a completion of one of the things that a man can do for himself in life. He called on the prospective couples to look for their missing ribs, describing his wife as the most wonderful thing to him in the whole world.

Michael prayed for God’s protection upon all and sundry that came to celebrate with him, asking God Almighty to provide for them, according to their heart desires. ###
