Last week three soldiers were allegedly killed along Bille Creek by suspected sea pirates. The three (3) soldiers including a major were ambushed and killed along Bille water ways.
Information at our disposal disclosed that the military is not happy with the killers suspected to be sea pirates from Bille Community.
There is every tendency that the Nigerian soldiers might invade the costal town of Bille for the death of the army officers.
Reacting swiftly to the killing of the soldiers, the chairman of the Bille Community Development Committee, CDC, Asatubo Igbanibo Kemuel exonerated the town from the killing, adding that, “from what we gathered, the soldiers were chased from the Abonnema axis of the Sombreiro Rivers into the Bille territory, whereas we call on the authority of the Nigerian army to carry out proper investigation of the incident and bring the perpetrators to justice, we do advise the general public to be cautious in making unconfirmed statements about Bille”. ###
