According to the release given to our sports desk, the final play-off is pending, subject to funding. The moment fund is realized the final play-off matches will kick-off. All matches were played at Borikiri, in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.
The idea of the league is to prepare the best out of the best cricket players in the Rivers State cricket association, to defend the gold medals the state won at the 17th National Sports Festival here in Port Harcourt, at the Lagos state 18th National Sports Festival that is coming up in November this year.
Amongst the sporting association in Rivers State, cricket association seem to be the only association that is up and doing, as the association had been involved in organizing competitions amongst its members. This might bring good result to the state, come November, 2012 at Lagos. ###
