National Division 2 Clubside-Gokana United football club last Thursday commenced training ahead of its 2012/2013 Nigerian league season.
Addressing the team and its supporters, as well as officials of the club during training at K-Dere community, in Gokana Local Government Area of Rivers State, its team manager, Amb. Solomon Lah said the club decided to take a training tour of the area to hunt for young talented players and by so doing curb youth restiveness in the area. The TM said the tour was also meant to continue the peace and anti-bunkering campaign of the council’s chairman, Demua and Senator Magnus Abe in Ogoniland.
The training tour is expected to reach Bodo City next week and other communities with standard football facilities. ####
