Exhibitors Commend Commissioner For Commerce At 2nd PH. Discount Market

The 2nd Port Harcourt Discount Market that took place at Isaac Boro Park, Rivers State, from the 1st-31st of December, 2012, may have come and gone, but exhibitors and patrons at the market are still recounting their gains.
Indeed, the most gainful man in all, remains the Rivers State Commissioner for Commerce and Industry, Hon Chukwuma Chinye who was described by the exhibitors at the market, as a unique and outstanding commissioner in the State.
Hon. Chineye was singled out for his commitment in ensuring that things were done exactly the way he and exhibitors wanted them to be. They saluted the courage of the Hon. Commissioner, who leaves his office at the close of work to be with them at the discount market until 10pm, almost on a daily basis.
Some of the exhibitors which include: Mr. Garba Habeeb Mohammed, National Sales Coordinator of Innotex Global Ventures Limited, Mr. Ifeanyi Ozumba of Cavos Innovations Company, amongst others, lauded the commissioner for ensuring that forms for shops and spaces at the market, were issued to exhibitors by himself, making everything possible for them.
They explained that the frequent presence of the honourable Commissioner, made it possible for them to feel at home, while doing their businesses, believing that the milestone that has been set by the commissioner, will bring more exhibitors at the 3rd edition of the market.
Responding to some of the views of the exhibitors, the Rivers State Honourable Commissioner for Commerce and Industry, Hon Chukwuma Chinye stated that he was only following the trend of his boss, Rt. Hon. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi, to ensure that things were done in an internationally acceptable standard.
He noted that they had ensured that both the buyers and sellers at the market have a true reflection of the purpose for which the market was set-up. Hon. Chukwuma added that he made sure to have over 20 Mobile Police Men, to move round the market, ensuring safety of lives and goods at the market. He thereby called on Rivers people and Nigerians resident in the state, to always take advantage of the discount market. ####
