Gokana PDP Restates Support For Governor Amaechi, Ake

 

 

Members of the People Democratic Party PDP in Gokana Local Government Area over the weekend at the council secretariat resolved to queue-behind the governor of Rivers State, Rt. Hon. Rotimi Amaechi and Chief Godspower Ake’s sacked executive.

The decision of Gokana people came as a result of the federal High Court, Abuja sack of the 27 member executive of the state.

Addressing  party supporters the Commissioner for Works Rivers State, Chief Hon. Victor Tombari Giadom assured the members of PDP Gokana that in no distance time the court will bring the G.U. Ake executive back to office.

Hon. Giadom stated that this experience of the injustice done by the court is just for a short while because the error will soon be corrected.

The commissioner who was the former chairman Gokana local government council said the stolen mandate will be taken back soon.

He told party supporters to be steadfast and remain committed especially at this critical moment because many detractors will come to deceive those who are not strong among them.

Hon. Giadom said as a former local government chairman in Gokana he has tract record of projects he built before he left for a higher calling.

Hon. Giadom stated that already they have secure an injunction in the court restraining the Hon. Felix Obuah led executive not to dissolve the local government and the ward executives of the party in existence before now.

In his speech, the member representing Khana/Gokana constituency in the Federal House of Representative, Hon. Maurice Pronen told PDP supporters that in life good thing did not always come easy, promising that the leadership of the party in the state and all the stakeholders have taken on to challenge the ruling of the Federal High Abuja at the Appeal Court.

He said the leaders of the party must fight this injustice to it logical conclusion.

Earlier, the chairman Gokana local government council and the leader of PDP in the LGA Hon. Ledee Demue Ledee said the people of PDP voted for chief G.U Ake at the civil center, Port Harcourt and will not fold their hands to watch their mandate being claimed by someone they believe did not even contest election.

There was the presentation of a four point communiqué presented by Hon. Dr. Innocent Barikor member Rivers State House of Assembly. ###
